Nebula class

 Our Science topic this half term is all about electricity! This week we built simple circuits using wires, cells and buzzers. Our enquiry line was 'Does increasing the number of volts within a circuit increase the loudness of a buzzer?'. The children loved getting creative with their circuits whilst attempting to get their buzzers to be as loud as possible. I was pleased with how well they managed this, but I was not pleased with loud the buzzers were!

 Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful break.  This week we have started lots of new topics but one of my highlights was getting to use counters and cubes in Maths! It's not very often we use these in Year 6, but the manipulatives matched perfectly with our topic of Ratio. The children used the manipulatives to represent the relationship between two variables. The mathematical language used during this lesson was outstanding!
